Mid-Level Scientist (HRP)

KeenLogic is seeking a Mid-Level Scientist (HRP) to support our team with one of our government clients. This position supports Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) in delivering environmental compliance support across Department of Defense (DoD) facilities.

The role supports environmental compliance for industrial operations, including utilities such as chiller plants, boiler plants, and incinerators. Responsibilities include regulatory coordination, reporting, and compliance monitoring.

Required Qualifications

Active Secret security clearance

Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering OR Master’s degree in science or engineering

6+ years of experience with a bachelor’s OR 4+ years with a master’s

Duties and Responsibilities

Support environmental compliance for industrial operations

Coordinate with regulators and facility staff

Prepare reports, databases, and permit applications

Conduct compliance assessments and audits

Support operational environmental programs

Required Work Experience

Air permitting and implementation

Wastewater permitting and implementation

Stormwater permitting and implementation

Hazardous waste and chemical inventory compliance

ODS inventory and compliance

Fuel storage tank compliance

Meeting with regulators and operations staff to coordinate environmental compliance efforts

Preparing reports, presentations, permit applications, design review comments, and databases

Performing internal assessments and auditing

Preferred Work Experience

Soil and groundwater investigation and compliance

Multimedia assessments

Drinking water compliance
