Enterprise Directory and Messaging (EDM) Lead

Contract Duration: One-year contract starting March 2026 (with potential extension through March 2031)
Summary:
KeenLogic is seeking an Enterprise Directory and Messaging (EDM) Lead to join one of our government clients. This is a full-time, onsite position offering Fortune 500-level benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and life insurance. The Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) needs a team to keep its nationwide Recruiting Command Enterprise Network (RCEN) highly available, reliable, and secure so recruiters can do their jobs across ~6,000 users and 1,500+ sites CONUS/OCONUS.
The EDM Lead ensures these directory, messaging, storage, and collaboration services remain highly available (≥99.9% uptime excluding maintenance), secure, and aligned with USMC, DoN, and DoD standards. This role manages both on-premises and cloud-hosted resources, including the Marine Corps tenant of Azure GovCloud, while planning and executing transitions to future capabilities such as Microsoft Teams Direct Routing and MCRISS Next hosting.
Minimum Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen
Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead EDM operations: Oversee day-to-day management of RCEN directory, messaging, and storage services (AD, Exchange, SharePoint Online, Skype/Teams, SAN/backup solutions), maintaining service uptime at or above 99.9%.
Active Directory management: Manage accounts, group policies, organizational units, and security groups; perform weekly AD compliance audits in line with DISA STIGs.
Unified Communications & VoIP: Maintain Skype for Business 2019 with Ribbon appliances; lead transition to Teams Direct Routing/DISA DIPS; integrate VoIP with unified communications platforms.
MCRISS Legacy support: Operate, document, and maintain MCRISS Legacy environments (production, staging, training) until MCRISS Next is fully operational in the Appian GovCloud. Ensure backups and continuity of service during transition.
SharePoint Online management: Maintain and coordinate site creation, documentation, and workflows for internal/external collaboration; update SOPs annually and support G-6 compliance reviews.
Storage & backup management: Operate NetApp SAN, Avamar, and related solutions; manage on-prem and cloud storage resources; configure storage/backup solutions per DoD/USMC security policies.
Cloud services integration: Support hybrid environments across Azure GovCloud, O365, and on-premises; manage cloud-based storage and databases; forecast storage costs and provide quarterly benefit analysis reports.
SOP & compliance oversight: Maintain, review, and submit EDM SOPs at least quarterly; ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, DoD/DoN/USMC directives, and MCRC internal guidance.
Collaboration & coordination: Partner with INS, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Architecture teams to align EDM services with Zero Trust, cloud migration, and modernization initiatives.
Reporting & deliverables: Contribute EDM updates to Weekly and Monthly Status Reports; deliver quarterly storage pricing forecasts and benefits analysis, and provide updated SOPs
