Job Title: Visual Information Specialist – Journeyman Company: KeenLogic Client: Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA), U.S. Senate Location: Washington, D.C. – Senate Dirksen Building (SD-G85) or 888 First Street, NE (Room 6240) Period of Performance: June 2, 2025 – September 30, 2025 Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday–Thursday, with Monday and Friday work required when the Senate is in session (exceptions apply for training or large events).
Clearance: U.S. citizenship required; background check may be required
Position Overview
KeenLogic is seeking a skilled Visual Information Specialist – Journeyman to support the Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) Photographic Services Office. This is a temporary, full-time position supporting high-visibility photography and visual media operations for the United States Senate.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform professional photography and short-form video assignments for Senate events, including hearings, press conferences, and official office visits, as part of the Daily Imagery Workflow (DIW).
• Support high-volume photo print production including order management, print preparation, quality control, and delivery coordination.
• Maintain accurate metadata and order tracking, assist with customer communication, and ensure timely delivery of print jobs to Senate offices.
• Assist with digital asset management tasks such as collecting, organizing, editing, and archiving photo and video content.
• Ensure metadata standards are consistently applied (photographer, caption, descriptions, etc.).
• Edit and upload time-sensitive imagery for the Senate Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional photographer or imaging technician supporting large-scale events or high-volume visual media operations.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other industry-standard image editing and print-prep tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and organize large volumes of digital imagery and print jobs under tight deadlines.
- Experience with metadata tagging, print labeling, and archival processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
