KeenLogic is seeking to hire a Senior Systems Administrator to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of in-house software systems, networks, and communication links. Key duties include system administration, software installation and maintenance, performance tuning, vulnerability management, end-user support and training, automation of administrative tasks, and leadership of other system administrators. The role supports both local and remote systems and ensures compliance with cybersecurity policies and the RMF process. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance 
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 10+ years of specialized experience 
    • Specialized experience is defined as progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, where the majority are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, at least four years of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software. 

Job Duties: 

  • Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. 
  • Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems. Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues. 
  • Conduct capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. 
  • Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment. 
  • Provide end user training. 
  • Provide recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision. 
  • Provide local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location. 
  • Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications. 
  • Direct the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance. 
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance. 
  • Perform vulnerability management. This includes implementing security controls and configurations (e.g., STIGs, patches) mandated by cybersecurity policies and the RMF process.
